We share our Florida resort with a flock of Sandhill Cranes. While most Sandhill Cranes summer in the north, the Florida subspecies actually lives here all year long. Both sexes look alike, although the male is a slightly larger, and they mate for life — which can be twenty years or more. The birds are not afraid of people, they just ignore us and go about their business. To see more of my Sandhill Crane photos go to www.digitalquinn.com/cranes.

I love sandhill cranes! They make the most beautiful calls. I'll always thinking them fluying overhead when I was out in Wyoming. Thanks for sharing and bringing back one of my favorite memories from my time out there!
