The pond known as Lake Margaret is home to a large colony of turtles. They love to bask in the sun on a log that sticks out of the pond. I saw this Red-Bellied turtle enjoying a bit of solitude…
Later, from across the pond, I noticed that something appeared to be swimming near the log. What I observed were the heads of other turtles, and one of them decided that the first turtle had to make some room.
We are away from our home base for months at a time — either wintering in the warmer climate of Florida or traveling in our motor home. Since taking photographs is what I do, this photo blog will let me share some of what I capture through the lens of my camera with friends, family, and maybe the occasional visitor.
Linda is an educator, photographer, book artist and sometimes web designer who travels extensively in a class A motor home with her husband Eddie. Eddie is an avid cyclist, and travels with a family of bicycles. When not traveling, or spending winter months in Florida, Linda & Eddie make their home on the north shore of Long Island, east of New York City.
